I started dancing at age 17 in Florida during 1975. I started teaching at Arthur Murray’s dance studio in 1982. I studied and taught at the studios around Orlando until 1992 when I moved to Dallas, Texas to teach independent I worked at several Studios for owners such as Michael Obrien and  JJ Jackson.

In 1998 my wife and I opened KC Dance Studio on Northwest Highway in Dallas. We Expanded in 2000 and offer dance instruction, wedding receptions and space for teaching. After moving the studio to Farmers Branch in 2001, we sold it to one of our teachers in 2003.

My training has been in American Style Smooth as well as Rhythm, International Ballroom and Latin, Country Western, West and East Coast Swing and various other social and regional dances.

My wife and I competed on both major Country Western Circuits from 1998 until 2004. We enjoyed many top 5 overall finishes as well as 4th in an open division for Double 2 Step at the UCWDC Worlds Championships in Nashville in 1998.

I competed with several other partners prior to dancing with my wife. In 1995 Michaela Flannigan and I won 4th and 5th place in the swings at UCWDC Worlds Championships in Anaheim, Ca.

I prefer to teach over competition but will do pro-am if needed.

We teach in and around Dallas, Texas. We do private lessons as well as group lessons for events or for groups wanting weekly classes. Call for group pricing.
